Friends of Piedmont Ridge Overview & Trails

Friends of Piedmont Ridge (FoP)

Origin Story

FoP was formed in July 2024 after being featured as a chapter of Wild DFW: Explore the Amazing Nature Around Dallas-Fort Worth.

The not-for-profit group is dedicated to restoring Piedmont Ridge trails, created in 2001-’03 by Groundwork Dallas (now Greenspace Dallas), to their former glory.

The trails are located in southeast Dallas, west of Jim Miller between Scyene and Bruton, in the northern end of the Great Trinity Forest.

Honored to operate under a Beautification Agreement with Dallas Park & Recreation.

We are honored to have assisted with Piedmont Ridge’s placement (as White Rock Bluffs) on the National Register of Historic Places as a Traditional Cultural Place of the Comanche.
