Friends of Piedmont Ridge
Formed in July 2024 after being featured as a chapter of Wild DFW: Explore the Amazing Nature Around Dallas-Fort Worth.
Operates under a Beautification Agreement with Dallas Park & Recreation.
Dedicated to restoring Piedmont Ridge trails, created in 2001-’03 by Groundwork Dallas (now Greenspace Dallas), to their former glory
Maintains these Piedmont Ridge trails: Lacywood & Scyene Overlooks, Renda Meadow, JJ Beeman, & Piedmont Ridge. Also creating new trails as approved by Dallas Park & Recreation.
Proud to aid and cooperate with the White Rock Bluffs Trail, The Loop Dallas’s first soft-surface transit trail linking the Lawnview and Lake June DART Stations.
Honored to have assisted with Piedmont Ridge being placed on the National Register of Historic Places as a Traditional Cultural Place of the Comanche.
