Sustaining the Friends of Piedmont Ridge

Friends of Piedmont Ridge

By 2027, Piedmont Ridge — the nature jewel of Pleasant Grove in southeast Dallas — will feature 10 to 12 miles of hiking trails through the northern Great Trinity Forest and White Rock Bluffs escarpment.

We need your support to keep them in shape and user-friendly. Donate to help sustain a diverse and extensive hiking trail system

Signage—trailhead: A sizeable trailhead sign is essential for orienting hikers. Piedmont Ridge needs at least four permanent ones, and in some cases a structure to contain them.

Signage—wayfinding: Some of Piedmont Ridge’s trails have twists and turns that can get hikers lost, and others are in areas that can be obscured by floodwater debris. Help us create temporary ones, and ultimately permanent ones, less prone to damage from weather and wildlife.

Volunteer care: Friends of Piedmont Ridge provides insect repellent, poison ivy protection lotion, and drinking water to those who forget their own. We would also like to upgrade our first-aid materials.
