You laughed with him in Random Scam and Four Out Of Five Doctors, and rooted for his well-earned comeuppance in Buzzed. You growled with him as Blueno in anime and enjoyed his unmistakable voice in much more voiceover work. On the theatrical stage, deep chuckles in The Sports Page and Becky’s New Car, heartbreak in God of Carnage, and impressive gravitas Dead Presidents Club. And a myriad of movie roles.

  • Many thanks to Vicki Welch for making this fabulous venue happen.

But mostly you loved him because he was Mark — witty, wonderful, and at times wise. Kind to newcomers, devoted to his friends. Sports obsessed — Cowboys and Rangers never had a better fan. And with politics, too — a fiercely funny and deeply researched debater.

Come celebrate all that Mark Fickert brought to our lives, taken from us much too soon by the scourge of pancreatic cancer. Have a good laugh and maybe a few tears with friends from over 50 years of Fickness. Reminisce and hear all the stories. Remember him with skits and songs.

Let’s make it colorful! Put on a Texas Ranger or Dallas Cowboys shirt. Poke fun of Hollywood with your attire. Don a Frankenstein, late-stage Elvis, or fireman attire in honor of favorite Fickert characters. Let’s fill the room with his favorite jokes, laughs, and memories.

Links to share with friends — let’s pack the place!

Nosh provided and cash bar. We’ll be playing all of his favorite tunes. Donate in Mark’s honor.

Much love to the entire Fickert family.
