Amy’s 70th birthday party — 70s is the new 60s!
What a party 70th birthday! And Scooter’s 76th. He was so wise to have the food provided and hire help so I could get ridiculously tipsy and have way too much fun.
Goodness gracious, the bartender Anthony’s beautiful old-fashioneds and the exquisite nosh from Crosby Catering.
The entertainment of Sally heralding Mark Fickert’s arrival, Jon Preston’s cardiac joy ride*, the back-porch late-night scene, and more.
But mostly all of you! So much catching up to do. Delightful conversation! I loved seeing you all interact, visiting with old friends and meeting new ones. The house was crammed full of interesting people! It bubbled with creativity and good vibes for days. I am a blessed woman.
Thanks for coming, for the fabulous desserts you brought and the wonderful array of cards and unexpected gifts. I’m simply going to have to keep kickin’ and do it again on my 80th!
And now, the photos. Notice the name tags. Some people had a lot of dots representing eras and foci of my life. Ella was the champ. Scooter was next.
* Jon and his misbehaving heart were helped home and into his girlfriend’s care by friends. By the next morning he was fully recuperated.
Such Great People!

The fabulous round cake with the fluffy white icing between layers was a Hostess “Fauxtess” from the vegan Reverie Bakeshop in Richardson. For the dairy-averse, they are a lifesaver. And a weight-gainer. Their display case is a wonderland of pastries. You just want to buy them all

So long, and thanks for all the fun!
The top-of-their-game party crew was from Trinity Event Staffing, with bartender Anthony Catto, barback Audrey Lewis, and waitstaff David Hauck and Debbie Henderson
